Vaccinations

Do you know what vaccinations are required where you are headed? You may need to refresh some vaccines or get new ones for your destination. Consult with your doctor at least a month in advance.

Prepare your travel kit

Your medications (check that these are allowed in your destination)
Download the Allianz MyHealth app to access your insurance documents and contact details on the go (check that you’re covered in your destination)
A first aid kit, your sunscreen and insect repellent (whenever needed)
Your itinerary, contact information, credit cards, passport, visas (leave copies with someone at home, in case you lose them during travel)
Your phone charger and travel adaptor.

Useful tips once you arrive

Follow the local laws and observe social customs and traditions (including standards of dress and cultural norms).
Do not wear expensive clothing and jewellery, to avoid the risk of theft or loss.
Carry some cash but keep it well hidden.
Make sure your phone is charged at all times and if possible carry a backup battery.
Carry a photocopy of your passport and entry stamp; leave the actual passport in a secure place, such as a safe at your accommodation.
Have the contact information of your embassy at hand.
