Gender equality benefits everyone

in the workplace, in education, in healthcare and in the home

Gender balance is essential for companies, economies and communities to thrive. The onus is on all of us to share the responsibility for creating a gender-balanced world.

However, gender inequality exists in many aspects of society. Through the growing global movement of advocacy, activism and support, women around the world are making positive gains daily. International Women's Day (March 8th) marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.

In support of this year’s International Women’s Day theme #BalanceForBetter, Allianz Care conducted a research study to gain a better understanding of workforce dynamics throughout the different generations. Key differences in behaviours have been identified across different age patterns with corresponding different types of needs.

We examined different themes within how people are managing their complex work life, within the areas of work life balance, sources of stress, sleep, career fulfilment and societal gender equality.

We found the majority (86%) of respondents enjoy a good quality of life most of the time

(equally balanced between male & females across different profiles)

We uncovered some interesting facts which can help companies to understand the challenges of their workforce across different age groups and we have put together some recommendations on how companies and their employees can make improvements to create a more satisfying work environment.

We surveyed a subset of colleagues from Allianz Partners in multiple countries, whose roles ranged from CEO to intern, turning up some interesting results.
