Onshore global solutions

Through our own offices, common IT systems and regional partners, you get a solution which combines the best of international and local approaches. We operate from a central platform to seamlessly provide support to you and your staff regardless of region, time zone or language. In regions where we don’t have our own office or branch license, or where it’s required by local regulations, we have local partners. Generally, these are other Allianz companies or carefully selected locally licensed insurers or medical networks.

International Health Insurance

We look after thousands of people worldwide from many different communities. Whether you need cover in multiple regions or only one, whether it’s for a long- or short-term period, whether you have 50 people or 50,000, we have the plan for you.

We have a range of international and regional healthcare plans, for example, the Middle East, China, Latin America and the Caribbean. As well as for specific countries - Germany, Switzerland, UAE, Singapore, UK and more. We have solutions for small to large companies, IGOs, NGOs and other governmental organisations. Our plans are handled on an underwritten, moratorium or ‘medical history disregarded’ basis, depending on group size. Our comprehensive healthcare plans cover a wide range of hospital and day-to-day treatments, medical evacuation or repatriation, local ambulance and health and wellness benefits.

Life Insurance

We provide financial protection and security for the families of your employees, in the unfortunate event of an employee’s death. We understand that claims of this nature can be very distressing. Our specialist teams are trained to handle these situations sensitively. The benefit amount for life insurance is paid as a lump sum. It can either be a fixed amount or calculated as a factor of an employee’s gross annual salary, subject to an agreed maximum sum. Cover for accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) and terminal illness is also available with life cover. Accidental Death provides a lump sum to the dependants in the event of an employee’s death due to an accident. Accidental Dismemberment provides the employee with a lump sum if they lose a limb or limb function as a result of an accident. The payment is calculated as a factor of the employee’s gross annual salary. These types of cover can be bought together with life insurance.

Disability insurance is designed to help protect an individual’s ability to earn an income, helping to protect their own and their family’s standard of living. Our disability cover is tailored to the specific needs of each organization.

Administration services

For groups that are insured by another provider, are part-insured or self-insured, we can look after those critical front line administrative services. Your staff will benefit from our culture of going the extra mile, day and night, in multiple languages. As well as being able to access our network of over 2 million medical providers worldwide.

We can administer a range of global insurance risks, including health, life and disability. This includes issuing policy documents, managing access to our medical network, handling claims and providing 24/7 multilingual Helpline support.

Insurance and reinsurance

Our underwriting expertise and insurance infrastructure allows us to develop solutions for Managing General Agents (MGAs), administrators, specialty insurers and banks. We can provide support when it comes to the technical underwriting of health and life risks in countries where we have local presence.

With our wide range of insurance products and health and protection services, specialty insurers and banks have the opportunity to expand and differentiate their offering while providing their clients with even more value and security.

Rated A+ Superior by AM Best, we also have the required scale and capacity when it comes to the reinsurance of standard or tailored health and life risks.

Specialty plans

We also offer a range of healthcare plans tailored to satisfy specific needs, such as those of shipping companies and diplomats. Our marine plans are fully compliant with the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC2006) requirements for onshore health cover and we offer an extensive choice of mandatory and voluntary benefits that cover day-to-day medical expenses as well as hospital costs.

For employers with staff who travel abroad regularly on business but are not based abroad, we have plans which cover medical emergencies which occur during business trips. Staff are covered for single or multiple trips up to a combined maximum of either 90 or 180 travel days per insurance year.
