Pizza with Parma Ham and Fresh Rocket
Ready in minutes and endlessly customisable, this crispy homemade pizza turns any weeknight into the most exciting dinner of the week.
Ingredients
1 large wholewheat wrap / tortilla
1 tin tomato sauce
3–4 slices fresh mozzarella
3–4 slices Parma ham
Handful fresh rocket / arugula
Sprinkle of chilli flakes
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
Pre-heat the oven to 220°C / gas mark 7. Place a fresh wholewheat wrap onto a pizza stone or tray.
Spoon tomato sauce onto the wrap, add sliced mozzarella, fresh Parma ham and a pinch of oregano.
Bake the pizza until its edges are crispy and the cheese is bubbling and browning (about 6 minutes).
Scatter fresh arugula / rocket and a sprinkle of chilli flakes over the top and serve immediately.
Tips for picky eaters
Skip the chilli flakes for kids - add them only to the adult portions
Let kids build their own pizza with their favourite toppings
Serve rocket on the side rather than on top if kids dislike "green things"
Cut into small triangles or strips - finger food is more appealing
Replace Parma ham with mild ham or turkey slices if the flavour is too strong
